Scan for iPhone · Last updated September 13, 2026
Scan has no servers, no accounts of its own, no analytics and no ads. Your scans are processed on your iPhone and sent only to the Google Drive folder you choose.
The camera image, page detection, cropping and PDF creation all happen on your iPhone. Finished PDFs are kept on the phone until they are uploaded, then sent directly from your iPhone to Google Drive. Nothing is sent to the developer or to any other service.
When you connect Google Drive, Scan asks Google for access to your Drive. It uses that access only to:
Scan does not read, download, change, share or delete any other files in your Drive. Google sign-in tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on your iPhone and never leave the device except when talking to Google.
Scan's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect Google Drive in Scan's Settings, or revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting the app removes all scans stored on the phone.
Questions about this policy can be sent to the support email shown on Scan's Google sign-in screen.
